Moving Truck Hydrogen

Mondial R. Vlot & Zn. Movers are the first moving company in the Netherlands to move with a hydrogen moving truck.

The aim is to gain practical experience in order to develop the technology further. The moving truck is made possible by a partnership with the sister company Breytner, which made the van temporarily available for testing.

Mondial R. Vlot & Zn. Movers is a pioneer in the sustainable economy and have therefore committed itself to reduce CO2 emissions by half this year.

While electric vehicles are ideal for short distances, it will be interesting to follow the development of the hydrogen sector over longer distances. Hydrogen offers a big advantage over electric driving, as it can travel long distances and the refueling only take 15-20 minutes.

Mondial R. Vlot & Zn. Movers “Much more needs to be done in the years ahead to make this happen permanently. In the meantime, it is important to gain practical experience to develop technology and test it in real-life situations.”

H2-SHARE

The European Union has provided funding for the H2 Share project, which will enable test rides in various European countries. The German hydrogen company Wystrach is building a mobile hydrogen filling station in Schelluinen, where there are currently only a few filling stations. VDL is developing a special truck that is completely powered by hydrogen.
