Ulsan recently announced that it signed a strategic investment letter of intent (LOI) with the Air Products for the environmentally friendly hydrogen industry.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Ulsan’s Deputy Mayor Song, Air Products Asia President Wilbur Mok and President Kim Kyo-Young Air Products Korea.
Air Products’ ultimate plan is to establish a hydrogen production facility in Ulsan and Mipo National Industrial Complex in Nam-gu.
It will support the hydrogen supply chain and infrastructure construction project to foster the hydrogen industry in Ulsan by installing the latest hydrogen charging station using hydrogen filling technology of Air Products in Ulsan.
Wilber Mok, president of Air Products Asia, said, “Based on our know-how accumulated as the world’s largest commercial hydrogen supplier and experience in supplying more than 250 hydrogen stations, Air Products is leading the technical standards for hydrogen production, supply, and hydrogen vehicle charging.” I hope the technology can be applied to Ulsan, Korea. ”
Deputy mayor Song Byung-ki said, “We are grateful for Air Products, Inc., a world-class company in the field of industrial gas and hydrogen we will cooperate with them.”
