Hydrogenesis

UK’s first fuel cell passenger boat, the Hydrogenesis, powered by Auriga Energy’s fuel cell system, has entered its 7th year of service of leisure trips around Bristol Harbourside after its winter refreshment.

Launched in 2012, it is still the only emission-free fuel cell passenger boat operating in the UK. The Hydrogenesis has proved very reliable, economic and is appreciated for its quiet vibration-free glide around the waterways.

Clean and green, producing zero emissions, the Hydrogenesis continues to lead the way towards the ‘net-zero’ contribution to global warming target recently set by the UK Committee on Climate Change, delivering tangible reductions in CO2, NOX and particulate emissions.

About Auriga Energy

Auriga Energy has developed and continues the development of high efficiency fuel cell systems, for the marine, stationary power (including UPS/backup and portable generators) and materials handling (fork lift) applications.
