NOW--As of now the National Innovation Programme for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP) is funding the construction of publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling stations in road transport.
The funding amounts to 60 per cent of the refuelling station’s investment costs and can include the building of an electrolyser for the generation of green hydrogen. Funding applications may be submitted to the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) until 31 March 2018.
The new funding call is part of the National Innovation Programme for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (2016-2026) – or NIP 2 – under the market activation funding guideline. The BMVI is allocating 250 million euro in all for research, development and innovation as well as market activation measures until 2019. To date fuel cell vehicles in local public transport and in fleets, trains and ships with fuel cells as well as the necessary refuelling infrastructure have been funded via the market activation funding guideline.
The funding call is available as of now on the NOW homepage here.
