China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Plans to Invest 500 Million Yuan ($70.49 million) into National Hydrogen Power Quality Inspection Center in Chongqing

On August 26, China Automotive Research and the Chongqing Liangjiang New District Management Committee successfully signed the “Investment Agreement” and planned to invest in the construction of the National Hydrogen Power Quality Inspection Center in Chongqing Liangjiang New District.

 Zhang Fengchun, deputy general manager of General Technology Group, and Wan Xinming, general manager of the company attended the signing ceremony.

CAERI ChinaThe National Hydrogen Power Quality Inspection Center,  is the first national-level hydrogen energy quality inspection center established by China Automotive Research Institute and will be built in Yufu Industrial Park, Liangjiang New District, Chongqing.

 The project relies on China Automotive Research’s strong automotive technology research and development capabilities, first-class test equipment and high industry visibility. It will aim to fully serve the hydrogen energy industry, and it is expected to realize the test capability system of the whole process of hydrogen energy power in the future.

A spokesman from the Liangjiang District said, “Setting up the hydrogen quality inspection centre in the Liangjiang district will be helpful to realise the gathering of a hydrogen power industry, provide security for the transition and upgrade the energy, automotive and equipment manufacturing industries. At the same time, it also helps the district to seize a commanding ground for the development of the hydrogen energy industry.”

About China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd
CAERI was established in March 1965, is a first-class state institute (ever named Chongqing Heavy-duty Vehicle Research Institute). It has renamed as Chongqing Vehicle Research Institute and transformed to a scientific and technological enterprise in 2001.
