
Today, Wednesday, Egypt and India signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a plant for the production of green hydrogen worth 8 billion dollars in the economic zone of the Suez Canal.
Egyptian media said that Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, witnessed this evening the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding to start preliminary studies on the establishment of a new plant for the production of green hydrogen in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The minister stated that the project includes investments of about $8 billion, with a capacity of 220,000 tons annually.
The signing of the MoU was also witnessed by Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt, and Ajit Gobeth, Indian Ambassador to Cairo.
