A memorandum of understanding was signed Monday by GS Engineering and Construction and SG H2 to supply modules that will be used to construct green hydrogen plants in California.
The project will mark the first time a Korean company has exported hydrogen plant modules that can accelerate project timelines and lower costs.
GS E&C says the California project provides a foothold for expanding its partnership with SG H2, whose hydrogen plant construction spans North America, Europe, and Asia.
In Korea’s port city of Ulsan, the company makes use of plasma technology to develop a clean energy project.
“We hope for this project to work as a gateway into securing more partnerships with leaders in the promising green hydrogen plant market,” said Huh Yun-hong, GS E&C’s new business division chief. “
“We will continue to pursue environmental and social values as a frontrunner in ESG management.”
