Japan: Iwatani and Cosmo HD Considering Collaborating on Hydrogen Stations

Fuel Cells Works, Japan: Iwatani Corp. and Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. Consider Producing CO2-Free Hydrogen

In partnership with Iwatani Corp., Cosmo Energy Holdings (HD) is considering building hydrogen stations and producing hydrogen.

In order to manage the hydrogen stations, a consortium will be formed.

The station will be installed adjacent to a gas station owned by Cosmo HD so that commercial vehicles can be refueled.

Regarding hydrogen imports, the companies will consider cooperating on the construction of receiving bases.

Cosmo HD will operate gas stations, and Iwatani Corp. will introduce hydrogen equipment and sell hydrogen to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCV) which are used in commercial vehicles such as trucks.
