myFC announces that the first batch of the world’s smallest fuel cell charger, JAQ, has been shipped and now the company announces that it is ready for a major launch.
myFC is a Swedish technology company and leader in portable, environmentally friendly fuel cell solutions for mobile devices. In the past year, the company has developed a charger for frequent smartphone users who want to be completely mobile and not dependent on the power grid, even in urban environments.
JAQ is the world’s smallest fuel cell charger and generates its own electricity with the help of a PowerCard filled with ordinary water and salt. The company’s focus during the development of JAQ has been to develop a solution for the quickly increasing need for accessible energy to mobile telephones. At the same time, the company has a large focus on meeting the consumers’ need for a user-friendly experience and a fine design.
“The battery capacity of our mobile electronics today becomes smaller and smaller, while at the same time our needs for juice is increasing. JAQ is designed to minimise the difference between our energy need and the energy available within our gadgets. With the help of JAQ, now everyone can generate electricity on a simple, environmentally friendly and mobile level, as soon as one does not have the time or ability to charge at a power outlet. JAQ is not simply a cool high-tech gadget, but rather a lifestyle product,” says Björn Westerholm, CEO of myFC.
In Sweden, JAQ will be sold with mobile operator 3 and on the company’s home page. JAQ will even be shown at the world’s largest technical exhibition, CES, in Las Vegas in the beginning of January.
