Canadian Tire Corporation has confirmed its purchase of a third electrolyzer (Model NH-300) from Next Hydrogen Corporation.
This electrolyzer will produce pure hydrogen from water and supports Canadian Tire’s on-going implementation of hydrogen energy in its material handling operations.
Next Hydrogen, a Canadian manufacturer of large scale electrolyzers, has designed an innovative system to meet the performance challenges set by Canadian Tire which include: a production capacity of 650 kilograms of hydrogen per day, a service life over twice the industrial average for electrolyzers and a service availability greater than 95%.
This generation of hydrogen fuel through electrolysis, using Ontario’s low carbon electric grid, creates an energy solution to supply a large scale, motive materials handling fleet while achieving a distinctly low carbon emissions footprint.
