During a vist of Alstom today, Wednesday November 28th, the President of the Occitanie region of France, Carole Delga (PS), announced that she wanted to make her region “the first territory in France to implement the Alstom Hydrogen train “. This would be the first order for this type of hydrogen train for Alstom in France.
She continued, “The Occitanie region is in fact the first region to order these type of trains, but it was also necessary to convince the State and the SNCF of the importance of this project, particularly in the energy transition of France. Occitanie will be the first experimental site for the hydrogen train. The other French regions must also join us and discussion are underway”
The region's order is for 3 hydrogen trains from Alstom.
