SACRAMENTO – The California Air Resources Board today approved a first-of-its-kind regulation in the United States that sets a statewide goal for public transit agencies to gradually transition to 100 percent zero-emission bus fleets by 2040.
- Domestic production of hydrogen fuel cells by 2050 will be ~ 500,000 units per year
- The second factory will help Mobis increase annual fuel-cell system output to 40,000 units by 2022, up from the current 3,000 units
Hyundai Motor Group plans to build a second hydrogen fuel cell Plant in order to strengthen its global hydrogen leadership. When the plant is completed, the present production capacity of the 3,000-unit hydrogen fuel cell system will expand to about 40,000 units annually.
- After 10,326 nautical miles, Energy Observer returned to Saint-Malo, its home port. It will now undergo important changes to be ready for its next challenge: Northern Europe.
While it is an inexhaustible resource at sea, the wind is still difficult to exploit for large-scale shipping. Energy Observer, as an experimental vessel, has a mission to test all available and promising solutions. During the first sailing campaigns, Energy Observer tested 2 vertical axis wind turbines for production, and a traction wing for the reduction of energy costs.
