North West Hydrogen Alliance welcomes the International engineering company Penspen as a new member of West Hydrogen Alliance.

Penspen is an international engineering company that provides services across the entire project lifecycle to help clients develop new energy infrastructure and optimise existing assets, from production to storage and distribution.

Peter O’Sullivan, Chief Executive of Penspen, said:

“We believe developing a Hydrogen Economy is of national strategic importance for the delivery of clean energy in the UK.  With our vision to improve access to sustainable energy for the communities in which we work, we are focusing our three services lines – Engineering and Project Management, Asset Management, Asset Integrity – on the design, installation and operation of the infrastructure needed for an effective and efficient hydrogen value chain.

The North West is a region that Penspen knows well.  We support the assets of key clients such as Essar, Shell, ENI, Drax and many more in the region.  Our National Operational Hub is located in the North West and we also own energy infrastructure there.  With its outstanding industrial heritage, the North West is positioned to play an important role in the development and implementation of the UK’s hydrogen strategy.

With over 65 years of experience upstream, midstream and downstream, and from all parts of the globe, Penspen looks forward to contributing to the emergence of the North West as a leader of the Hydrogen Economy.”
