For the summer of 2020, the ministry announces the publication of a hydrogen technology development program in Poland.
The ministry admits that one of its main objectives should be the building of a new industry or more broadly of a hydrogen economy.
The document is supposed to contain recommendations and directions for development, determined on the basis of simulations, calculations and economic models.
The opportunity for a hydrogen revolution in the Polish energy sector is further enhanced by the fact that Poland ranks fifth in the world in the production of hydrogen and has great potential for the production of blue and gray hydrogen .
The ministry wants to increase this potential and promote the participation of Polish companies in the entire supply chain of hydrogen technologies on the global market. Ireneusz Zyska, the government minister in charge of renewable energies, underlines that hydrogen, as a fuel of the future, will be a important in the development of the Polish economy.
According to him, Poland can lead the European hydrogen economy and promote its own initiatives. He points out that moving away from coal will require building a new industry based on hydrogen.
The government intends to use the resources from the Green Pact programs to finance the construction of the hydrogen economy.
