SAFRA has just joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance to support the ambitious project for the deployment of hydrogen technologies and the implementation of a decarbonation strategy by 2030.
This move demonstrates SAFRA’s commitment to the fight against global warming and air pollution through the development of sustainable mobility solutions which include the electric and hydrogen bus range produced by this French company.
In July 2020 the European Commission announced the EU’s hydrogen strategy and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance was launched. By founding the Alliance, the EU aims to strengthen its position as a leader in hydrogen, a field that is undergoing rapid development, and this will in turn help it achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance numbers more than 200 manufacturers, national and local public authorities, civil society representatives and other stakeholders amongst its members. It aims to launch an investment and support programme to drive the scaling-up of the hydrogen value chain across Europe.
Vincent Lemaire, chair of the SAFRA group, explains this approach: “Our activity to date is a perfect example of this commitment.
