  • The innovative and environmentally friendly energy management system “P2M2” turns the energy supply for Defense, Rescue, and Disaster Protection forces into a revolution
  • The core system of the EFOY Pro 12000 Duo fuel cell by SFC Energy is the heart of the efficient P2M2 module for off-grid applications
  • A cooperation agreement was signed at the DWT conference “Future Energy Supply for Mobile Systems of the German Armed Forces” in Bonn

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany— SFC Energy AG (F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, enters into a groundbreaking cooperation with VINCORION, the mechatronics producer of technology group JENOPTIK. Both partners aim to work together to develop and market the sustainable, portable energy management system “P2M2”. For this purpose, SFC Energy provides the core system of the EFOY Pro 12000 Duo fuel cell as the heart of the power unit as well as its in-depth know-how in portable power supply solutions.

The P2M2 module is a versatile energy management system for Defense, Rescue and Disaster Protection forces. As a portable solution, it is mainly used in areas far away from the conventional power grid. This is where the system unfolds its full potential and supplies power to the most demanding applications with power requirements of up to 15 kW. The modular structure offers the maximum flexibility to operate, charge and adapt end devices to the respective requirements of the application.

Furthermore, the technology does not emit harmful exhaust gases such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) or fine dust. The employed fuel cell technology also operates quietly during operation and is extremely low-wear and low-maintenance due to the small number of moving parts. This ensures a long life cycle of the power unit. Moreover, fuel cells by SFC Energy are 95% recyclable. This makes the technology a sustainable solution in every respect.

At the same time, fuel cells consume significantly less fuel than conventional generators, which helps emergency services to save valuable time and effort in logistics. Fuel cartridges can be changed within a few minutes. Time is also saved due to the low training effort required to operate the easy-to-use module. The portable solution also impresses with its space-saving design and low weight.

“SFC Energy stands for world-leading fuel cell competence, our partner VINCORION for proven expertise in the field of high-performance power generation units. With the P2M2 module we are jointly developing an innovative, sustainable and efficient energy supply solution for the most challenging requirements of existing and new customers,” says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG.

“We are pleased to have found in SFC Energy a strategic partner to enter new market segments. We are very confident that fuel cells are a useful enrichment to the power supply portfolio for our energy solutions, enabling us to offer our partners and customers a great added value compared to similar solutions,” says Dr. Stefan Stenzel, CEO of JENOPTIK Advanced Systems GmbH.
