SFC Energy AG has successfully completed a smart city project in the north-east Indian capital Itanagar in cooperation with its Indian partner, FC TecNrgy Pvt Ltd., which is the system integrator for the project.
- For this purpose, SFC Energy delivered 30 EFOY Pro 2400 fuel cells.

Brunnthal / Munich, Germany–SFC Energy AG (F3C: DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading supplier of hydrogen and direct methanol fuel cells for stationary and mobile hybrid power supply solutions, has a Smart City project in the north-east Indian capital of Itanagar in cooperation with its Indian partner, FC TecNrgy Pvt Ltd., which acts as the system integrator for the project. For this purpose, SFC Energy delivered 30 EFOY Pro 2400 fuel cells. The order was recognized in sales in 2020.
SFC Energy is thus helping to use the increasing interdependence of the physical and digital world to the advantage of cities. Occasional power outages occur in numerous major Indian cities. If there is no power for two or more hours, important applications such as environmental sensors, monitoring systems or wireless routers no longer work and then have to be laboriously restarted.
The EFOY Pro 2400 fuel cell functions in these essential smart city applications with its output power of 110 watts (W) as a powerful, reliable and, above all, environmentally friendly emergency power generator connected to a compact 50 Ah battery pack. If there is a power failure, it is able to permanently bridge downtimes of up to 100 hours with just ten liters of methanol. The environmentally friendly fuel cell technology from SFC Energy ensures security of supply and protects the connected systems at the neuralgic points of a city, as these are less frequently shut down in an uncontrolled manner. Wherever it is possible, the EFOY Pro 2400 fuel cell can also be hybridized with a solar panel and thus develop its full flexibility.
