South Korea: Suwon City to Open First Hydrogen Refueling Station

Suwon City and Hydrogen Energy Network Co., Ltd. (Hynet) have signed a contract to install a hydrogen filling station at the city hall and agreed to cooperate in the installation of a hydrogen filling station with the aim of completion in the first half of next year. 

Suwon City and Hynet were selected as a private subsidy project sponsored by the Korea Automobile Environment Association, a consignment agency of the Ministry of Environment, in May. 

The total cost of the project will be 3 billion won, including 1.5 billion won for the government and 1.5 billion won for the high-net.

 According to the agreement, Suwon City will provide facilities and provide administrative support. 

Hynet will install the hydrogen filling station (total area of ​​430 square meters) in the Dongbu bus public garage.
