This story from December 9, 2019 was the first of many stories featuring both Shell and Everfuel on their quest to move to green energy and specifically hydrogen future.
Green shift: Central large-scale P2X hydrogen plant and energy storage in Fredericia will be the largest in the Nordic region.
Everfuel, Shell Refinery (A / S Dansk Shell) in Fredericia has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement on the future supply of the transport sector with green energy in the form of a hydrogen plant.
The plan is to be able to install a P2X plant in Fredericia with up to 1 GW electrolysis capacity, but the start of the project may be in the 20 MW range. This is an important step in the green transition, which allows green power to be combined with flexible green hydrogen production.
The plant is being built by Everfuel and is located on a land area owned by the Shell Refinery.
The collaboration will establish the largest hydrogen plant of its kind in the Nordic region. At full expansion, the hydrogen plant will have a capacity equivalent to supplying 3,000-4000 fuel cell buses and trucks with hydrogen daily.
