Tokyo R&D recently announced that they would participate in a technology and development project for a small fuel cell truck.

Although mass-produced passenger fuel cell vehicles (FCV's) have been released from the domestic automobile manufacturers such as Toyota and Hyundai, there is still research and development that needs to be done on small trucks. This new initiative by Tokyo R&D will be done in collobaration with the PUES group of companies.

The demonstration project will take place in Fukuoka City, Japan and the Tenjin district joint transport Co., Ltd. (aka: yellow Bird, head office: Fukuoka City) with the delivery of the first fuel cell trucks scheduled to be delivered in 2019
