Toyota recently delivered two Mirai Fuel Cell Vehicle to Linde. The gases specialist has leased the two fuel cell cars for four years and is expanding its FCEV fleet to a total of seven vehicles. The cars are part of the Hy Five (Hydrogen for Innovative Vehicles) initiative and will be used as everyday vehicles driving around Munich. HyFive is an association of 15 partners that is spearheading the commercialization of fuel cell cars in Europe.
In addition to technology companies such as Linde and oil companies such as OMV, producing, among other things the necessaryhydrogen necessary to power the cars there are also five carmaker involved that bring the initiative to a total of 185 fuel cell vehicles available to demonstrate the use of technology in everyday life and to accelerate their development.
