Luxfer Gas Cylinders, located in Nottingham and known as the world’s premier producer of high-pressure composite and aluminum cylinders, recently received national acclaim at The Manufacturer MX Awards. The ceremony, held on November 27 at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool, saw Luxfer winning the Product Innovation & Design Award.

The award celebrates Luxfer’s exceptional dedication to enhancing hydrogen storage technology, a critical component for the burgeoning hydrogen energy sector. The company’s commitment is demonstrated through its substantial investments in research and development activities in both the UK and North America. This strategic focus aims to prepare Luxfer for a significant rise in hydrogen utilization, anticipated to play a crucial role in the transition to clean energy solutions.

The Manufacturer MX Awards was established in 2015 and while it is the biggest annual celebration on the industry’s calendar, the awards are not just about the ceremony, but the culmination of a rigorous programme designed to provide valuable business improvement advice and feedback from an expert panel of judges. Organised by The Manufacturer in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), it is the only peer-reviewed and judged programme of its kind for UK manufacturing.
