The agreement has a term of one year, which can be extended if both parties so decide.

TEG Chile and ENAP signed an agreement of understanding in Cerro Sombrero, Tierra del Fuego, for the development of the “Gente Grande” project, aimed at the production of hydrogen and green ammonia in the municipalities of Primavera and Porvenir in Tierra del Fuego.

In this context, the manager of ENAP Magallanes, Rodrigo Bustamante, highlighted the company’s promotion of new energy projects in the region. “One of the relevant areas in which we are making progress is in alliances with companies developing green hydrogen projects, such as TEG Chile. If this agreement succeeds, it will allow us to finalize projects in a very important territory for ENAP, such as Tierra del Fuego,” he said.

The CEO of TEG Chile, José Margozzini, said “We are very happy. We are located in Cerro Sombrero, in the municipality of Primavera, where we have developed our project that was born from the territory. This agreement with ENAP opens the doors for us to see how we can develop joint activities that are beneficial for both the project and the community that welcomes us.”

The agreement has a term of one year, which can be extended if both parties so decide. During this time, they will form a working committee to assess how ENAP’s infrastructure and services could support TEG Chile’s green hydrogen project.

Although the pact does not generate binding obligations to formalize a commercial relationship, it represents the intention and commitment of both companies to collaborate and find synergies in this development.

The companies also commit to acting in good faith, cooperating in the necessary studies and analyses, and keeping the strategic information that is shared confidential.

If the committee’s evaluation is successful, TEG Chile and ENAP could then develop an agreement involving legal and commercial aspects to subsequently implement the project.
