The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) has extended the deadline for comments on its consultation paper for the creation of an energy plan until January 13, 2023.
NERSA is seeking input from stakeholders on its efforts to coordinate the development of gas, renewable energy, and hydrogen in the South African energy market.
The regulator is particularly interested in understanding the current state of the gas industry and the prospects and challenges it faces in the changing energy transition landscape.

The information gathered during the consultation process will be used to inform the development of NERSA’s strategy and will not be attributed to any specific stakeholder, but rather will represent a general assessment of the arguments presented.
