BALTIMORE– ETCH, INC., a decarbonization company that eliminates carbon from natural gas to produce both clean hydrogen and solid carbon, today announced it has secured $7.5m in seed-stage funding from Emerald Development Managers LP. ETCH will use these funds to take the technology to market and begin commercialization.

Legislation creates a tax credit of $10 million per year for users of clean hydrogen in Illinois.

Investment will further advance commercialization of renewable hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels from biomass and waste.
