City Energy Pte Ltd. (as Trustee of City Energy Trust) (“City Energy”) and Sydrogen Energy Pte. Ltd. (“Sydrogen”) (hereinafter, the “Parties”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to study the Proof of Concept (“PoC”) of generating an end-to-end hydrogen fuel cell solution for off- grid power supply, utilising high-purity hydrogen extracted from the town gas produced by City Energy. The study is expected to commence in early 2023 and will continue until mid-2024, at which point the parties will further explore town gas-powered hydrogen fuel cells for broader off-grid applications.

Oracle Power PLC, the international natural resources project developer, is pleased to announce that its joint venture company, Oracle Energy Limited (“Oracle Energy”) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with Blue Carbon LLC (“Blue Carbon”) to collaborate on a decarbonization roadmap to complement Oracle Energy’s green hydrogen project in Pakistan.

SINGAPORE — Hydrogen has been one of the leading options for substituting carbon-intensive fuels, and countries around the world have begun efforts to advance research into utilizing hydrogen as a source of energy. Carbon Governance Pte Ltd, a green energy project development company based in Singapore, recently signed a MOU with a local partner company in Bintan, Indonesia, for a long-term lease of land to develop a solar-based green hydrogen production and export facility.

Singapore has tightened its national climate target and plans to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 and peak its emissions before its previously stated deadline of 2030, ahead of the upcoming COP27 climate talks, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said at the Singapore International Energy Week Oct. 25.

India’s largest integrated energy company, NTPC Ltd., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Japan and its subsidiary Mitsubishi Power India Private Limited to demonstrate the feasibility for Hydrogen co-firing blended with natural gas in MHI 701D gas turbines installed at NTPC Auraiya Gas Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh. The total installed capacity of the Auraiya Gas Power Plant is 663 MW with four gas turbines operating in combined cycle mode. The MoU was signed by both companies in the presence of Shri Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, Director (Projects), NTPC Ltd., Mr. Tatsuto Nagayasu, CMD, Mitsubishi Power India and Mr. Hiroyuki Shinohara, Vice President, Mitsubishi Power India.

KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal has said that the government’s goal is to develop water resources into hydropower and use them to produce hydrogen energy, ammonia and urea fertilizers.

Türkiye is working to develop its indigenous hydrogen ecosystem and local hydrogen industry, Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez has said, adding that studies are also underway for hydrogen fuel.
