The deal entails the delivery of dozens of hydrogen-fueled backup systems and related maintenance services; the GenCell® BOX emergency backup power systems will ensure 72 hours operational continuity at remote distributed communications sites during power outages.
GenCell is proud to announce that on May, 28, 2024, upon being selected by a leading European telecom company as the preferred supplier to provide fuel cell products and related services, GenCell signed an agreement with the telecom company to deliver, install and maintain for a minimum period of 6 years multiple GenCell® BOX emergency backup power systems to ensure 72 hours of operational continuity during power outages at dozens of remote distributed communications sites. The deal is valued at approximately US$4.9 million. Delivery and deployment is expected to take place in 2024-2025.

This deal has been signed six months following GenCell’s announcement regarding a repeat order in the amount of some US$4.5 million from another major customer, the national power utility of the State of Mexico CFE, the largest utility in North America.
