Microsoft to Begin Trial of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Data Center

Caterpillar Inc. announced a three-year project through a collaboration with Microsoft and Ballard Power Systems to demonstrate a power system incorporating large-format hydrogen fuel cells to produce reliable and sustainable backup power for Microsoft data centers. The project is supported and partially funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) under the H2@Scale initiative and backed by the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL).

On 12.19.2021 the Horizon Educational H2GP racing season began in southern California when nine teams took to the track at Edison High School for the SoCal first practice round. Even though it was a practice session it was nonetheless an exciting time since for many of the participants it was the first time they were able to put their cars to the test.
