- More than 4 million kilometers have been travelled by Qingling products equipped with Bosch hydrogen fuel cells
The joint venture between Bosch and Qingling Motor, Bosch Hydrogen Powertrain System (Chongqing) Co., Ltd, announced on Nov 2nd that it had delivered 300 hydrogen logistics vehicles powered by Bosch’s fuel cell system to Shanxi Meijin Energy, China’s largest coal and coke producer.
Four specifications of hydrogen power engines, 76kw, 134kw, 190kw, and 300kw, have been developed by Qingling and Bosch Hydrogen Power, following local R&D and mass production. There are now 11 brand models available, covering a wide range of vehicles from 4.5 to 49 tons. Additionally, the joint venture has developed and launched critical assemblies for heavy-duty trucks such as electric drive axles and reduction gearboxes. Now that mass production has been achieved, the company’s industrial chain layout has expanded.
More than 4 million kilometers have been travelled by Qingling products equipped with Bosch hydrogen fuel cells. Among them, the 8.3-ton hydrogen fuel cell vehicle played an essential role in the launch ceremony of the 2021 “Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor” and in the logistics support of the Beijing Winter Olympics; the 18-ton hydrogen fuel cell vehicle provided efficient transportation to Chengdu, Chongqing and the Yangtze River Delta.
Qingling Automobile Company also officially signed a cooperation agreement on “Hydrogen Zero-Carbon Smart Logistics, Facilitating the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor” with Bosch Hydrogen Power Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Saimei Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. to promote the application of hydrogen fuel logistics vehicles, connecting the “Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor” and creating a new benchmark for the zero-carbon transportation demonstration and operation industry.
Additionally, Qingling signed a “Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Cooperation Agreement” with Bosch as well as local partners Yisi Zhiyun Logistics, Sichuan Shupei, COSCO Shipping, and China Post Express. To facilitate hydrogen fuel logistics, Qingling intends to provide 1,000 hydrogen fuel logistics vehicles.
