Element 2, a hydrogen refuelling company, has formed a strategic partnership with fuel card provider Radius Payment Solutions to expand its UK Fuels network.

Under the partnership, Element 2’s hydrogen refuelling stations will be integrated into Radius’s fuel card network, making it easier for fleet operators to fill up their hydrogen-powered vehicles across the UK.

This collaboration signifies a major step in supporting the UK’s efforts to transition to clean and sustainable energy sources. It aligns with the UK government’s target of having 1,500 hydrogen refuelling stations operational by 2030.

Tim Harper, founder and CTO of Element 2, said, “This partnership with Radius helps our customers access hydrogen in a familiar way and expands the payment options for our fleet customers. It’s a significant step towards building the hydrogen infrastructure necessary for the UK to reach its net-zero emissions targets.”

Bill Holmes, CEO at Radius, echoed these sentiments, adding, “The partnership with Element 2 is an exciting opportunity to expand our fuel network and offer more alternative refuelling points for our customers. This collaboration is a step in the right direction in supporting the UK’s shift to a more sustainable future.”

The expanded service availability and improved accessibility to hydrogen refuelling options could encourage more businesses to consider hydrogen-powered vehicles, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions.
