HyTerra Ltd (ASX:HYT) (HyTerra or the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Mee as a new Executive Director to the Board.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Appointment of Benjamin Mee as Executive Director.
  • Benjamin is an experienced international energy leader having worked in technical, management, and corporate roles at Woodside and Shell.
  • His role will focus on the direction and growth of HyTerra, underpinned by his wealth of experience in major project delivery, joint ventures, leadership, and corporate strategy.

Benjamin has 23 years of international oil and gas experience with a successful track record in project delivery from exploration to appraisal, development, and production, both onshore and offshore in various global locations. Most recently, he held the title of Exploration Manager Deepwater Africa for Shell, during which significant petroleum discoveries were made. His extensive geoscience knowledge and leadership experience have also complemented his corporate-focused positions in strategy and portfolio development.

In his capacity as Executive Director, Benjamin will be responsible for implementing strategies that drive growth and support the Company’s mission of becoming a leading producer in the natural hydrogen sector. He will also be actively involved in key project decision-making, with a particular focus on end-user offtake opportunities and managing investor relations.

Benjamin’s decision to join HyTerra is attributed to his career focus on developing solutions to mature complex energy resources and his passion for sustainable and affordable energy.

BIOGRAPHY:

With a degree in geology and geophysics from Curtin University and the University of South Australia, Benjamin started his career in energy at Woodside in 2002. He has held a variety of key technical positions across exploration, appraisal, development, and production of oil and gas. In 2012, he joined Shell, broadening into corporate strategy, portfolio management, and venture leadership. He led highly successful teams across Australia, Russia, Egypt, and several sub-Saharan African countries before moving back to Perth, Australia in late 2022.
