NTPC, India’s largest power producer, has announced plans to build a new green hydrogen power plant at a cost of $15.4 billion.
The power plant will produce green hydrogen by using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power. It is expected to have a capacity of 4.5 GW, making it one of the largest green hydrogen plants in the world.
The project is part of India’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and transition to a greener energy mix. Green hydrogen is considered a key element in achieving this goal as it can be used as a clean fuel in various industries and for transportation.
