Hynion’s hydrogen station at Høvik has just completed its busiest month ever.  The sales of hydrogen fuel for private cars and taxis have more than doubled since the turn of the year.  The increased demand for hydrogen has even created queues for filling up hydrogen cars.  Last week, Hynion significantly improved the fueling station’s capacity by installing a new and powerful compressor.  Refuelling takes place in a few minutes, and the volumes delivered from the station are three times higher than last year.

Berlin| H2 MOBILITY Germany plans to purchase regeneratively produced hydrogen (H2) from Hy2B Hydrogen GmbH from 2024. The two companies announced their intention to supply green hydrogen from Lower Bavaria in the run-up to the ground-breaking ceremony for the megawatt electrolysis project on the site of the future hydrogen center in Pfeffenhausen. H2 MOBILITY hydrogen stations are to be supplied with the green hydrogen, primarily in Bavaria.

The future of hydrogen trade will be dominated by pipelines and liquid organic hydrogen carriers, according to new research from Rethink Energy. As the sector emerges out of its infancy, obsessed with raw production costs, it is the innovative approaches to moving hydrogen from supply to demand that will play a larger role in dictating the final price for the customer.
