- Unique collaboration of six project partners to deliver first of its kind project – exploring the feasibility of an offshore hydrogen supply programme at Flotta Oil Terminal in Orkney
- Realising circular economy through re-use and re-purpose of oil and gas infrastructure
A pioneering, multi-partner project led by The Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC), awarded £500,000 funding for their Hydrogen Offshore Production (HOP) Project – the first of its kind in Scotland – has completed its first phase.
Green shift: Central large-scale P2X hydrogen plant and energy storage in Fredericia will be the largest in the Nordic region.
Oslo–Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser AS, a subsidiary of Nel ASA (Nel, OSE:NEL) has received a purchase order, following a previously announced contract, for a 3.5 MW electrolyser from ENGIE.
The electrolyser is an element of ENGIE’s hydrogen solution to produce renewable hydrogen for the world’s largest fuel cell electric mining haul truck for Anglo American, a global mining company, and is scheduled to be installed during 2020.

Elcogen has been named Winner of the Innovation category in the Grand Final of this year’s European Business Awards, at an exclusive awards ceremony held in Warsaw, Poland.
Rail transport with diesel locomotives ensures high emissions of climate-damaging CO2. A Brandenburg company now wants to convert to hydrogen propulsion.
The Brandenburg-based company Deutsche Eisenbahn Service AG (Desag) wants to use a pilot project to promote the energy transition in rail transport in rural areas.
SGL Carbon and the Hyundai Motor Group have agreed on an early extension to the existing supply agreement for fuel cell components. The long-term agreement provides now for a substantial ramp-up of current production and delivery volumes of gas diffusion layers for the NEXO fuel-cell car to support Hyundai’s objectives in the area of fuel cell drives.
PowerCell Sweden AB has been informed that the formerly large shareholder in PowerCell, Midroc New Technology, has acquired 2,138,114 shares in PowerCell, representing 4.1 percent of votes and capital, from the Belgian investment company Finindus.
With hydrogen produced from renewable sources such as wind power, a significant portion of today’s carbon emissions from industry, transport and heat generation could be avoided. Vattenfall is, therefore, exploring different options for using hydrogen to decarbonise our society.
In the small Swedish town of Vårgårda, TESVOLT is supporting an ambitious pilot project — a self-sufficient municipal housing development powered entirely by hydrogen.
