In an Unprecedented fleet overhaul, Stellantis Pro One has launched 12 new models across all van categories, covering brands like Citroën, FIAT Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. As part of their ‘Six Brands, One Force’ initiative, the lineup features new models across all sizes: Compact, Mid-Size, and Large.

The focus is on zero-emissions, with the second-generation Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) promising extended ranges on all models, going up to 420 km. Further boosting their sustainability goals, the company is also augmenting their existing hydrogen fuel-cell mid-size van offerings with a large van model slated for 2024.

The technology suite is robust, featuring:

  • Revamped cockpits
  • 10-inch infotainment systems
  • 18 improved Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Standard 100% connectivity
  • e-PTO (electric Power Take off), an innovative system that allows the traction battery to power vehicle conversions

“This 2nd generation of zero-emission vans, in line with customer expectations and offering increased BEV autonomy, additional fuel-cell offer, 18 ADAS, full connectivity, and innovations such as ‘electric Power Take Off’, will reinforce even further our current leadership in BEV vans and in all van segments,” said Xavier Peugeot, Senior Vice President, Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.

Stellantis has long been a leader in Europe for zero-emission commercial vehicles, providing both BEV and fuel-cell options. This renewed lineup introduces a second-generation of zero-emission technologies, boasting in-house EV battery systems that deliver extended ranges without compromising capability. For example, the large vans come equipped with 110-kWh batteries that offer up to 420 km of range and can fast-charge from 0 to 80% in under an hour.

Most notably, the company is introducing a second generation of hydrogen fuel-cell power in the mid-size vans by mid-2024. These will provide an industry-leading range of up to 400 km. Stellantis is also extending its hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion offerings to large vans in 2024, boasting ranges of up to 500 km with refilling times of just five minutes.

Among other features are regenerative braking systems, heat pumps in BEV compact vans for optimized energy use, and a host of driver-centric technologies including Dynamic Surround Vision and real-time wireless connectivity.

“The essence of our customer-centric renewal of our entire van lineup is no compromise – in range, capability, safety and connectivity,” said Luca Marengo, Global Head of Product – Serial Life for the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.

In North America, the Ram brand will see an energized lineup with upcoming electrified vehicles, including the Ram ProMaster EV by the end of 2023. The future portfolio for the brand also encompasses hydrogen fuel-cell technology. Further details will be released subsequently.
