Through the GREATER4H project, local and regional authorities in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, together with six companies, will apply for EU / CEF funding to implement plans to establish a network of hydrogen stations from Hamburg to Oslo.
Plug Power Inc. is working with New York officials on possibly creating a federally backed hydrogen hub as states vie for $8 billion in U.S. funding for the clean-fuel projects.
Green energy fuel cell company rents site as Bloom expansion widens
CeraPhi Energy is pleased to announce its collaboration with Climate Change Ventures (CCV) for the development of Green Hydrogen using baseload Geothermal as the primary energy source for continual electrolysis from its proprietary Closed Loop CeraPhiWellâ„¢ system.
The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County has joined the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Council (HFC Bus Council), a newly formed, first-of its-kind national coalition of public transit agencies, manufacturers, and suppliers working together to advance the hydrogen fuel cell-electric bus economy and its applications in the public transit sector. The formation of the HFC Bus Council comes at a time of historic levels of federal investment in public transit, alongside nationwide commitments to transition fleets to zero-emission propulsion.
SHARJAH (WAM) – The Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) revealed an ambitious plan to be executed in cooperation with the American University of Sharjah (AUS), targeting to launch an Applied Research Ecosystem for sustainable energy solutions to develop new technologies for generating Green Hydrogen, being one of the most promising future-proof technologies.
Keeping global temperatures to within 1.5 Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels will require society to change on many levels, including adoption of lower-carbon fuel sources. Hydrogen, as a clean energy source produced with minimal emissions, is emerging as an enabler for decarbonisation as society races to head off the worst effects of climate change.
Germany aims to secure a full supply of green hydrogen in its drive to become climate neutral, but may use blue hydrogen made with natural gas and carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Norway for a transitional period, energy and climate state secretary Patrick Graichen has said.
FGSZ, the owner and operator of the Hungarian high-pressure transmission natural gas pipeline system servicing gas distribution companies, power plants and large industrial consumers, has commissioned DNV to assess the suitability for partial to full hydrogen transport of one of FGSZ’s pipelines. The intention of this project is to evaluate the suitability of FGSZ’s DN600 system, consisting of a DN600 pipeline and valve station for hydrogen transportation. FGSZ has set up different scenarios to assess the implications of exchanging natural gas with up to 100% gaseous hydrogen.
