AeH2 Launches the Development of the Hydrogen Industry Sector Agenda
  • This document is strategic for the sector with the objective of promoting the deployment and industrial development of hydrogen in Spain, seeking to achieve a competitive leadership position in these technologies.
  • The Sector Agenda will reflect a shared and consensual vision of the state of the sector, its competitive keys and the priority measures and lines of action for promoting the sector and improving its competitiveness in the medium and long term.

Madrid — The Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2), a non-profit organization whose main objective is to encourage, promote and drive the industrial development of hydrogen technologies, has launched the production, in a manner agreed with all the agents of the sector and related sectors, the Sectorial Agenda of the Hydrogen Industry at the request and with the support of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR). This document, which is strategic for the sector, led and promoted by AeH2, seeks to promote the deployment and industrial development of hydrogen in Spain; all with the ultimate goal of achieving a competitive leadership position in these technologies.

The Sectorial Agenda of the Hydrogen Industry, an instrument of public-private collaboration, has the ambition to reflect a shared and consensual vision of the state of the sector, its competitive keys and priority measures and lines of action for the promotion of the sector and the improvement of its competitiveness in the medium and long term.

Precisely, to implement a consensual development of this, the AeH2 has opened a preliminary public consultation period , which will be available until December 3. During this period, contributions to certain contents of the agenda can be made, as well as providing data on potential participants in the working groups that are already being organized. In addition, it should be noted that the Sectorial agenda of the Hydrogen Industry has important support within the sector, among which the following stand out as sponsors: Capital Energy, Engie Lab Crigen, H2Site, Hidrona Gea, Petronor, Talgo, TCI GEComp and Tresca Ingeniería .

Likewise, AeH2 is forming different Working Groups and Expert Committees that will allow participation in the process of preparing the Agenda. There will be two working groups open exclusively to the participation of AeH2 institutional partners: the Technology and Market Working Group and the Action Measures and Priority Areas Working Group.

“The deployment of hydrogen technologies in Spain presents a great opportunity for economic development, job creation, great environmental benefits and development of national technology in a strategic vector for the energy transition, on the road to climate neutrality. Thus, from AeH2, by means of the preparation of this Agenda, we want to help strengthen and value the national industrial fabric and place Spain in a position of technological leadership, identifying, for this, the competitive keys of the sector and concrete measures necessary for its promotion ”affirms Javier Brey, president of AeH2.
