Bloom Energy Corp., based in San Jose, recently announced the layoff of 95 staff members, split between its Sunnyvale and Fremont locations. The reduction, consisting of 47 employees and 48 contractors, was outlined in a letter from the company’s Executive Vice President, Shawn Soderberg, to state employment authorities. The dismissals began on September 16 and were slated to span over a two-week timeframe.
