At the same time as the forum, the “Foundation of National Innovation Hydrogen Industry Innovation Alliance and Signing Ceremony of Hydrogen Strategic Cooperation” was also held. Beijing Yihuatong Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Beijing-Tsinghua Industrial Development Research Institute, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation 718 Research Institute, China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd., Hebei Province Guokong Investment Management Co., Ltd., Zhangjiakou Hydrogen Energy and Renewable Energy Research Institute and other 8 units jointly signed a strategic agreement on hydrogen energy cooperation and established the National Hydrogen Energy Alliance.
According to the agreement, all parties will set up an industrial innovation center in the strategic field of hydrogen energy under the guidance of the “Guidelines for the Construction of National Industrial Innovation Centers (Trial)”, focusing on hydrogen production, storage and transportation, fuel cells, and application demonstrations. And industry cluster development, innovation system construction, standard system construction, etc., serving key common technologies, promoting joint technological breakthroughs in the hydrogen energy industry chain, accelerating the layout of the hydrogen energy industry, building an ecosystem of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, and developing a green economy, Promote the adjustment of the energy structure and strengthen the construction of an environment-friendly and resource-saving society.
The National Innovation Hydrogen Energy Industry Innovation Alliance will focus on solving the technical difficulties of the “cracking neck” of the hydrogen energy industry, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, cultivate new industries, and cultivate new kinetic energy. At the same time of joint research, it will guide the hydrogen energy industry to become more concentrated in space, functionally concentrated, position complementary development, focus on breaking through the weak links in the industry and create a full-chain industry covering hydrogen energy equipment, fuel cells, and vehicle production. In addition, efforts will be made to create demonstrations of hydrogen energy applications, lead the development of hydrogen energy industry standards, improve industry testing and detection capabilities, actively develop relevant standards in the field of hydrogen energy, improve industry inspection and testing capabilities, and form a distinctive hydrogen energy industry innovation pattern. At the same time, all parties will jointly promote the construction of a hydrogen energy talent strategic system, cultivate cross-industry composite talents, and build a variety of information exchange platforms through joint training, organizational research, and technical exchanges.
It is worth mentioning that the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently approved the establishment of the Hebei Provincial Innovation Center for Hydrogen Energy Industry. The Zhangjiakou City Development and Reform Commission will serve as a competent unit to provide a series of policy support. Guochuang Hydrogen Energy Alliance will also participate in the construction and operation of the Hebei Province Hydrogen Industry Innovation Center to promote the multi-participation of government, industry, university, and research, and promote collaborative innovation.
It is understood that Zhangjiakou City hopes that through the hydrogen energy industry innovation center of Hebei Province, it will strive to go from technical support and base construction to hydrogen energy production, storage and transportation, filling, and application. In the future, it will be the first to deploy hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing in the Wangshan Circular Economy Demonstration Park, hydrogen fuel cell R & D and manufacturing in the Airport Economic Development Zone, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle production bases in Nanshan Park to build the city’s hydrogen industry ecology. It is foreseeable that with the abundant renewable energy and the historic opportunity of co-hosting the Winter Olympics with Beijing in 2020, the hydrogen industry in Zhangjiakou will usher in a broader development space and new heights.
