Hydrogen Buses 2

The California State Transportation Agency awarded Lake Transit Authority $12,994,000 from the Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program.

Part of that funding will include the purchase of 4 hydrogen fuel-cell buses with associated infrastructure.

The project would expand service to out of county destinations, including the Sonoma County Airport and the Santa Rosa Bus Terminal in Downtown Santa Rosa.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology is used in order to allow extended range services to be operated, contributing to increased ridership.
