MILAN– Industrie De Nora S.p.A. (“De Nora”), a Milan-based sustainable electrochemical tech powerhouse, has entered a strategic partnership with ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabian juggernaut in water desalination. Both parties sealed their commitment to greener energy and water treatment solutions with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the recent Saudi-Italian Investment Forum.

“We’re thrilled to extend our impact in the Middle East, reinforcing our commitment to Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision,” said Luca Buonerba, De Nora’s Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer. “Our water treatment and green hydrogen solutions have earned the trust of ACWA, and we’re poised for even greater successes under the diplomatic bridge between Italy and Saudi Arabia.”

This union leverages both companies’ experiences with high-profile projects in the region, including ACWA’s involvement in the world’s largest seawater desalination plant and green hydrogen facility.

“We expect this partnership to be a rich exchange of expertise and technology, especially as Saudi Arabia is on an aggressive path to decarbonize,” stated Marco Arcelli, ACWA Power’s CEO. “Both companies are aligned in solving pressing global issues, from clean water access to carbon footprints, and this is just the start.”
