Doosan Mobility Innovation Teams with LG Uplus to Launch ‘Smart Hydrogen Drone’

DMI and LG Uplus announced on February 30 that they signed an MOU to revitalize the hydrogen drone business.

Under the agreement, the two companies will develop a ” smart hydrogen drone ” solution with LTE and 5G communication capabilities for hydrogen fuel cell drones capable of flying for more than two hours.

Smart drone control service, which can remotely manage drone status information, flight plans, flight routes, and mission performance, and smart drone video service, which transmits drone shots and photos in real-time.

DMI CEO Lee Doo-sun and Head of LG Uplus’s New Business Group said, “The hydrogen drone that can fly for a long time will be transformed into a smart hydrogen drone by meeting the next-generation network communication.”

DMI participated in CES 2020 earlier this year to receive the highest innovation and innovation award for its hydrogen drone products and said it is working with global IT company Microsoft to develop drone solutions using digital technologies such as cloud platforms and AI.
