Dresden–The European Commission has appointed Sunfire CEO Nils Aldag for the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance roundtable on industrial applications.

The 44 roundtable members will establish an investment agenda and provide input to regulation to support a swift ramp-up of clean hydrogen use in the steel and chemical industries, in refineries and for producing e-Fuels.

The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance was launched in July 2020. With the panel, the EU want to strengthen its global leadership in this domain and to support the EU’s commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Alliance aims at an ambitious deployment of hydrogen technologies by 2030, bringing together renewable and low-carbon hydrogen production, demand in industry, mobility and other sectors, and hydrogen transmission and distribution.
