Future Proof Shipping Expands its Team in Rotterdam

Godjevac will focus on all technical aspects related to the system integration of battery and hydrogen propulsion components and advise external parties on how to achieve true zero-emissions shipping.

Future Proof Shipping (FPS) has been leading and accelerating shipping’s energy transition towards zero-emissions with steady progress since 2017.

Now the sustainable shipping company is growing its technical team even further with the addition of Mr. Milinko Godjevac who joins FPS as Senior Integration Advisor effective from 01 July 2020.

FPS has spent the last number of years enabling the maritime value chain to accomplish zero-emissions shipping by building sustainable ships and helping others to build their own vessels.

In his new role, Godjevac will focus on all technical aspects related to the system integration of battery and hydrogen propulsion components and advise external parties on how to achieve true zero-emissions shipping.

Milinko brings this but also his expertise and enthusiasm for implementing new technologies like hydrogen fuel cells. Godjevac joins Future Proof Shipping from Allseas Engineering B.V. whereas Senior R&D Engineer he worked on reducing emissions and increasing the efficiency of their pipe-laying vessels as well as ensuring the safety and stability of their heavy lift operations.

He has extensive research and technical background in the maritime industry having completed his MSc. Naval Architecture studies in Belgrade University before undertaking a Ph.D. in Marine Engineering with the Delft University of Technology from 2004-2006. More recently, Godjevac has been teaching the next generation of maritime professionals subjects like Dynamic Positioning and Reliability Engineering as Assistant Professor at TU Delft.

In my previous positions, in academia and industry, I worked on improving the efficiency of ships so achieving hydrogen propulsion is a natural next step and a true ambition of mine.”
