Germany: Hydrogen Taxi Makes it’s Premier in Oldenburg

OLDENBURG–In a first for Oldenburg, a hydrogen taxi was recently unveiled. The taxi company “Acht Elf Elf das Taxi” and EWE-Gasspeicher GmbH presented the hydrogen-powered vehicle from EWE. 

Three hydrogen-powered vehicles will be used used as a taxis for the city of Oldenburg and in special scheduled services as an “airbus airport transfer” to Bremen Airport. The vehicle is scheduled to run from February to September as part of a project.

Hydrogen is considered a fuel with great potential and the construction of a hydrogen filling station is also planned in Oldenburg.
