  • After a nearly 12 months in-depth technical and commercial evaluation, H2V Industry has finally chosen HydrogenPro to be the final partner for the Dunkirk project.

The project consists in the construction of five massive (100 MW each) hydrogen production units over 5 years, with the first unit to be in operations by the end of 2021. HydrogenPro will provide a true full turn-key electrolyser plant, wheareas H2V Industry will take care of the civil work and the connections to the electrical grid and the natural gas network.

“I am delighted to work with a partner like HydrogenPro. From day 1, they have been totally open on their offering and have really been listening to our concerns and requests. This was a key factor in the selection process and is indeed very promissing for the future” says Jean-Marc LEONHARDT, Director of Operations of H2V Industry.

“HydrogenPro offers the largest and most versatile electrolysers available on the market. With a proven track record these systems outcompete other technologies such as PEM electrolysis in terms of investment and operational cost. The agreement with H2V Industry is an excellent endorsement of the performance of our technology.”  says Hans Jörg FELL, CTO of HydrogenPro.

H2V Industry has confirmed a firm Purchase Order for the full detailed engineering of the electroAlkaline elektrolyser plant. The purchase order for the first 100 MW unit shall be confirmed once the permitting process is positively concluded.

Once the firm order for the first 100 MW is confirmed, HydrogenPro is considering to establish a local manufacturing plant and the EU headquarter in France.

“This opportunity certainly opens new horizons. To have a french electrolyser manufacturer, with a possible creation of over 300 jobs, including the ones the H2V project will generate, is an important lever to speed-up the development of the hydrogen economy in France” says Lucien MALLET, CEO and Founder of H2V Industry

“The partnership with H2V Industry fits perfectly with our european development plans. Our electrolysers are well established worldwide, and our plans are to develop our activity in Europe. We had already considered a european manufacturing base, and H2V Industry has given us the opportunity to comfort our decision” says Richard ESPESETH, CEO of HydrogenPro
