HANS Energy (00554.HK) has announced that the Hong Kong government has granted an agreement-in-principle for the construction of the city’s first hydrogen refueling station at West Kowloon Bus Depot of Citybus Limited.

The company will provide funding for the procurement, with the station expected to be operational in the second half of 2023. Citybus Limited will operate the station and offer hydrogen refueling services for Hong Kong’s first hydrogen bus, also owned by Citybus Limited.

This investment marks the beginning of HANS Energy’s strategic shift from traditional energy business to new energy business. The company holds around 15.56% shareholding interest in Bravo Transport Holdings Limited, which indirectly owns 100% shareholding interest in Citybus Limited.
