SOON 33 PLASTIC OMNIUM FACTORIES IN CHINA!
Plastic Omnium announces the construction of a new factory in LinGang, in the Shanghai region, by YFPO, its joint venture with Yanfeng, which is number 1 in exterior bodywork systems in China.
As the world’s leading automotive market, China is strategic for Plastic Omnium, which is already present there with 32 production sites, 2 R&D centers and an office in Shanghai. The Group generated 11% of its economic revenue there in 2020, i.e. € 847 million.
The foundation stone for the LinGang plant was laid at the end of May, in the presence of 70 guests including our customers and government officials. Bumper production will start in 2022, with a capacity of over 1 million pieces per year.
