As the year draws to a close, we at Hynion are excited to share a comprehensive update on our progress and plans moving forward.
Current Station Status
- Inspection and Re-certification: Our stations in Göteborg, Sandviken, Arlanda, and Høvik (Oslo) are undergoing inspection and re-certification. We anticipate receiving these certifications early next year.
- Porsgrunn Station: Although re-certified, we await the final approval from the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), expected shortly after Christmas.
Construction Milestones
- Västerås Station: We’ve commenced construction of our pioneering next-generation hydrogen refueling station in Västerås, with a capacity of 1500 kg/day. The collaboration with the city of Västerås has been exemplary, showcasing their commitment to fostering a fossil-free future.
- Jönköping Station: The start notification is imminent, and we are eager to begin.
- Project Delays: Due to subsystem delivery delays, the completion of Västerås and Jönköping stations will extend into the first half of 2024.
- Ongoing Planning: We continue to plan for the stations in Göteborg and Malmö under the GREATER4H EU project. We await updated project plans from GREATER4H.
Additional Projects
- Demo Hydrogen Station by HEB: We are coordinating with the Norwegian Hydrogen Elektriske Byggeplasser AS (HEB) for the delivery and installation of a demo hydrogen station.
Knowledge Sharing and Safety Training
Our development and product manager, Torgny, has been instrumental in creating a handbook on hydrogen refueling station construction for The Swedish Gas Association. This vital document sets the standard for safety measures in station construction. Torgny’s expertise extends to training rescue services across Sweden in safe hydrogen handling, underlining our commitment to safety and knowledge dissemination.
Future Plans
- Expansion in Norway: While we currently have no new stations planned for Norway, we will revisit this as our Västerås and Jönköping stations near completion, considering potential grants for hydrogen refueling stations in Norway.
As we move into the new year, we remain dedicated to advancing hydrogen fuel technology and infrastructure, contributing to a sustainable and clean energy future.
