Opfikon ZH / Rothenburg LU–Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility AG (HHM) is pleased to announce the cooperation with Auto AG Truck with its headquarters in Rothenburg.

After an intensive search and clarification, HHM decided to set up the flagship store and the nationwide service organization together with Auto AG Truck. The experience and the nationwide network with currently eight service bases, as well as the willingness to innovate of Auto AG Truck, were able to fully convince HHM.

A first Xcient fuel cell is expected in Switzerland in mid-February and will be used to set up the hydrogen cycle. This truck is supported by FM and supported by engineers from the Hyundai Motor Company in Korea, who are already looked after by Auto AG Truck.

In parallel, there are ongoing technical training courses in Korea and Switzerland, in which selected specialists from Auto AG Truck are trained in repairs and handling the Fuel Cell Xcient. This training also enables the technicians to maintain the fuel cells and replace them if necessary.

About the business model:
By 2025, Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility customers will put a total of 1,600 Xcient fuel cells into operation. A large part of this is used by the members of the H2 Mobility Switzerland funding association. The funding association, founded in 2018, is made up of well-known petrol station operators, transport and logistics companies who are committed to building hydrogen mobility in Switzerland and in particular to the rapid expansion of the petrol station infrastructure. At the same time, Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility will expand its market presence to other European countries.

Hydrogen supply in Switzerland is carried out by the specially founded company HydroSpider – a joint venture between Alpiq, H2 Energy and Linde.
